Tocal 2018
Our Biennial Exhibition, #mymaitlandquilts, celebrating 32 years of Maitland Patchwork Quilters, was held in the Tocal College Great Hall from Friday 26th October until Sunday 28th October. Opening each day at 10am and closing at 4pm, with an entry of just $5. There were over 200 exhibits, demonstrations and a wonderful morning tea with lunch available from our Cafe. There was a table of handmade gifts for sale as well as stands from some of our local and further afield quilt shops. We also had a special exhibition showcasing the work of one of our very talented quilters, Val Redhouse.
This year our raffle quilt was designed by Di Ford-Hall, constructed by MPQ members and quilted by Shirley McLennan. Proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets were donated to Breast Cancer Research at the Mater Hospital in Newcastle. Congratulations to Sue Cross on winning the quilt.
