Tocal 2024

Our Biennial Exhibition was held at Tocal College in The Great Hall from Friday 16th August through to Sunday 18th August and was an enormous success. The quality of quilts on show was outstanding! There were around 300 exhibits, 700 paying guests through the doors and wonderful morning teas & lunches provided from our Cafe. There was a table of handmade gifts and quilts for sale, and 5 local quilt shops had goodies available to tempt everyone!

This year two raffle quilts were made by members, coordinated and collated by Linda Price and quilted by Fiona Copping. Proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will go to Breast Cancer Trials, raising nearly $7,000. Winners of the raffle quilts were Jodi Bird and Irma Gearing.

Congratulations to our viewers’ choice winners – Carol Gehrig and Louise Brown-Thomas. Our Challenge this year – Part of the Whole – had about 35 members enter, the largest number ever. The Challenge winner was Chris Butler, with 5 runner-up prizes awarded to Lynette Drage, Tammie Moore, Clare Lewis, Lorri Kraus & Justine Elias.
